Leg heaviness and swelling when standing called venous hypertension or venous insufficiency is a very common problem among men and women. The majority of cases are incompetent vein valves. Gravity causes blood to stagnate in the lower legs causing symptoms. This can easily be treated in the office with laser. Insurance covers the cost. We do extensive ultrasound vein mapping to make the diagnosis.

Spider veins ae easily treated with fine needle sclerotherapy. This solution acts as a detergent of the vein wall causing it to collapse and disappear. Insurance does not cover but we have reasonable fees and our work is outstanding. We also look for feeder veins causing the spider veins and treat those as well.
